To mark 110 years of watchmaking excellence, Seiko is highlighting its continuous dedication to evolving technology, as well as diversity, equality and the sustainable manufacturing necessary to meet environmental challenges. Part of a collection celebrating traditional Japanese crafts, this exquisite Limited Edition, available only in a controlled-production run of 1,500, with the serial number engraved on each caseback, extends the Presage tradition of blending precision technology with superior craftsmanship and design, offering the finest in Japanese mechanical watchmaking with a uniquely Japanese sense of beauty. Honoring the century-old art of Urushi lacquer, the distinctive dial is in a coppery brown hue inspired by the streetscape of Kanazawa, where the Urushi craft was nurtured through a fusion of aristocratic and samurai traditions. Created by master craftsman Isshu Tamura, the dial expresses gratitude to our culture, featuring a new design with alternating Roman numerals and indices, as well as both day and date retrograde subdials, and a power reserve indicator. Visible through the screwdown, see-through caseback, the 31-jewel automatic movement beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, with a power reserve of approximately 45 hours and manual winding capability. In stainless steel, with super-hard coating and a new refined and beautifully proportioned case shape, this exceptional design includes a dual-curved anti-reflective sapphire crystal. tri-fold push button release clasp, and a dark brown sustainable leather strap, certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG).
