THE 2024 SEIKO LEGACY COLLECTION CELEBRATES 100 YEARS OF THE SEIKO BRAND AND ITS PIONEERING FOUNDER, KINTARO HATTORI
The 100th Anniversary of the Seiko Brand, Seiko Watch of America has announced a Limited Edition Collection, featuring four of Seiko’s most prestigious Limited Edition models, one from each of the four global brands: Prospex, Presage, King Seiko, and Astron.
Presage meets Porter Classic. A new collaboration honors Seiko’s heritage and the tradition of Japanese craftwork.
Presage combines a Japanese aesthetic sense with traditional craftsmanship and Seiko’s mechanical watchmaking skills in an original collection that offers Japanese beauty, quality and long-lasting performance.
Seiko Presage Craftsmanship Series Arita Porcelain Dial
This creation features a “Hakuji” dial that highlights the pure white color of the porcelain material through an application of transparent glaze. Simple bar indexes have been used so as not to detract from the porcelain’s luster, a quality enhanced by the curved surface of the dial’s outer circumference.
Gracefully embracing Japan’s timeless beauty, a new Presage design series makes its debut.
Since its introduction in 2016, the Presage collection has melded Japanese artistry with Seiko’s longstanding mastery of mechanical watchmaking.
A new creation honors the first wristwatch to bear the Seiko name, celebrating the brand’s 100th anniversary.
Since the beginning of Seiko in 1881, the company has continued to innovate in line with founder Kintaro Hattori’s philosophy to be “Always one step ahead of the rest.”
A new dial design puts artistry front and center in the latest Presage Craftsmanship Series watches.
Ever since its launch in 2016, Seiko Presage has showcased timepieces that meld traditional Japanese decorative crafts displaying deep, hard-earned know-how with Seiko’s own long-established mastery of mechanical watchmaking. In doing so, the Presage Craftsmanship Series puts a spotlight on artisans whose finesse in traditional Japanese crafts finds new life on the miniature canvas that is a Seiko watch dial.
PRESAGE, PROSPEX, ASTRON, AND 5 SPORTS CELEBRATE THE 110TH ANNIVERSARY OF SEIKO’S FIRST WRISTWATCH.
The history of Seiko began in 1881 when Kintaro Hattori opened a shop in Ginza to repair and sell timepieces. In 1913, his company produced Japan’s first wristwatch, the Laurel, and has advanced the art of watchmaking in the ensuing years through both technology and craft.
The Presage Sharp Edged Series evolves with a new three-day automatic movement and a new design.
Introduced in 2020, the Seiko Presage Sharp Edged Series quickly gained a reputation for its
angular silhouette, distinctively patterned dial, and hands and indexes that reflect light while
enhancing legibility.
