Landmaster Mechanical 30th Anniversary Limited Edition. Designed for those who treat life as the ultimate adventure, the Seiko Prospex line meets every challenge with technological excellence and style. Part of a rich legacy of innovation in high-intensity timekeeping, Prospex continues to celebrate a long history of sports watch excellence with re-creations and re-interpretations of landmark achievements. With updated technology and materials, this extraordinary Limited Edition, available only in a controlled-production run of 1,000, with the production serial number engraved on each caseback, honors 1993 Landmaster, cited by many adventurers as Seiko’s best field watch ever. The detailed bi-directional rotating compass bezel, echoing the original, frames a pressed-pattern blue dial, gradated to evoke the deepening blue of the sky as experienced by mountaineers as they challenge the world’s highest peaks. For maximum visibility, the three-dimensional applied indices and the hands have a LumiBrite coating, while the sapphire crystal includes anti-reflective coating on the inner surface. To provide the utmost reliability, this exceptional timepiece is powered by the 26-jewel 8L35 automatic mechanical movement, hand-assembled at the Shizukuishi watch studio with enhanced torque, as well as manual winding capability, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, and a power reserve of approximately 50 hours. Crafted of light and durable titanium with super-hard coating, this rugged and superbly functional watch also includes a date calendar, screwdown caseback, and a tri-fold push button release clasp with secure lock and slide adjuster.
